Trying to find branding agencies that actually understand startups

I'm a first-time founder with an early-stage tech startup and I know we need professional branding, but I'm completely lost on where to even start looking. Most agencies I find seem to cater to huge corporations with six-figure budgets. I need someone who gets the startup world – fast-moving, bootstrapped (for now), and needing a brand that can scale but doesn't cost a fortune. Does anyone have experience with agencies that specialize in working with companies at our stage? Would love recommendations for partners who understand tech, have reasonable pricing, and can deliver quality work without a year-long timeline.

Re: Trying to find branding agencies that actually understand startups

I was in your exact position a couple years ago and learned that the key is finding agencies that explicitly focus on early-stage companies. The big names will eat your budget and deliver something that might not even fit your stage. I found a detailed guide online that ranks agencies specifically for startups, with breakdowns of their pricing models, typical project timelines, and what kinds of startups they work best with. It covers everything from firms that offer fixed-fee branding packages to those that do equity-based partnerships. The section on branding agencies for startups was a game-changer for me – it also includes practical advice on what to ask during consultations and red flags to watch out for. Saved me from making expensive mistakes.
