Hi folks. My partner and I will be in Spain for a week from this Sunday the 14th Jan if anyone is around for a meet up or potentially has a couch we could sleep on!!
We'll be in Barcelona for a bit then see where the wind takes us.

Where are you in the South?

Oh and also, summer is of course the highest level of tourists, so spring or autumn can be better, but you risk the weather turning to shit.. but to be fair you risk that most of the time anyway.. try couch surfing and woofing over the main tourist routes in more isolated places.

Hey Dietza, Wellington is a good spot for sure, and then I would say go to the South Island! (But i'm biased..). Dunedin is like a smaller version of Wellington, with a really good music and food culture. The art around town has really picked up over the last few years. Its surrounded by hills and beach, so all sorts of outdoor stuff is close. So much outdoor hiking etc you can't go wrong in NZ really. I currently live on the West Coast of the South Island which is a very low population and some of the most beautiful and wild landscape in NZ.
Here I am talking it up.. but I'm visiting the UK right now and missing home a bit! If you decide to visit NZ hit me up and you'll have couch to stay on and some contacts

Hello UK, I'm a kiwi here for 2 months with my girlfriend if anyone is around for a drink. Kent area next week then Sheffield the following week, then Cornwall and Devon. Hit us up, would be great to meet some fellow listeners of the podcast.

Hey mate, I'm currently in Scotland with my girlfriend and will be swinging through Glasgow this saturday if you are around? We're looking for couches to crash on too if any folk are in fort william or glasgow area. In exchange for a few pints of course!

Hey, cool! You're not too far away haha. Wellington is great, what do you do there? A local, or from elsewhere originally?

Kia ora! First Kiwi here it seems, lets hope that doesn't last..
I'm Nikita, from the wild West Coast of the South Island. I am a budding jade/green/hard stone carver with a passion for the mysteries of our evolutionary past.
Looking to find some fellow tangent speaking kiwis or travellers of NZ to chat and meet with (our couch is free, and comfy!)

Kia Ora
I'm Nikita, I live on the West Coast of New Zealand where I'm learning to carve jade greenstone. Chris Ryan's podcasts are great for listening to when carving and sanding, or walking places. I also listen to Daniel Vitalis' Rewild Yourself, which is where I came across Tangentially Speaking.
I have yet to get a copy of Sex at Dawn, but have heard much about it. I have a strong interest in our evolutionary past, and hope to bring related concepts into my design and carving.
Hoping I can come across some fellow kiwi's or folk travelling NZ. It's a pretty isolated place where I am and would be great to find some interesting people locally.
