When learning a language, tongue twisters are usually given little time. Of course, you are unlikely to hear them in everyday Japanese dialogue. Sometimes people completely forget about their existence, but this does not mean that they are useless. The Japanese have many not only difficult, but also interesting and funny tongue twisters. You can also watch Japanese Movies with English subtitles . All teachers advise their students to watch films in the original - indeed, this is a fun way to practice speech comprehension.

I’ve heard that shadowing, listening and repeating native speakers, recording yourself, and practicing difficult sounds can be very effective. However, I’m not sure which method gives the best results.
How much time do you usually spend practicing pronunciation? And how do you know if you are improving?
I’d love to hear about your experience and any tips or resources you can recommend. Thanks!

I think watching films is a great way to improve your pronunciation in any language. Films help you hear how native speakers actually pronounce words and use natural intonation and rhythm.
As for me, I chose the streaming platform Vintage Films. This service is aimed at an international audience and is available in several languages, which makes it a good option for language learners.
Recently, I watched classic Sherlock Jr. film, a classic 1920s comedy. Although the movie is quite old, I found it interesting and useful for language learning. Watching films in the original language allows me to hear authentic speech and get used to different sounds and expressions.
I believe that combining films with regular speaking practice can make learning pronunciation much more enjoyable and effective.
